Brew+Bao is a relaxed craft beer and Asian street food venue at 16–18 Stainbeck Lane in Chapel Allerton. Reopened under its current name in 2025, it combines a neighbourhood pub atmosphere with a substantive kitchen and screens for live sport.
Steamed bao buns are the signature, with fillings such as Korean fried chicken, slow cooked pork, hoisin duck, crispy tofu and battered cauliflower. Pickles, sesame, spring onion and sauces add contrasting texture and seasoning to the soft buns.
Rice bowls, Korean fried chicken, loaded fries, gyoza and other sides expand the food beyond bao. Katsu choices include chicken, prawn and tofu, while clearly marked vegan dishes give plant based customers several proper meal options.
The bar pours a rotating selection of fresh beer, including regular and seasonal releases, alongside other drinks. Families are welcome during the stated hours, and guests with allergies should check the current menu carefully because sesame, soya, gluten and shared fryers may be relevant.
