The Fable is a bar and restaurant at 52 Holborn Viaduct in the City of London. Inspired by fairytales and Aesop’s fables, the venue spreads across three floors with tall windows, storybooks and individually styled spaces that give lunches, dinners and drinks a theatrical backdrop.
Its seasonal menus combine familiar British and European ideas with more contemporary flavours. Small plates can include wild mushroom arancini, prawn lollipops, chicken skewers and calamari, making it easy to begin with a shared selection before choosing a larger dish.
Main courses move between chicken Milanese, roasted salmon, steak and filled pasta, while a mushroom burger provides a plant based centrepiece. Breakfast, an all day menu, desserts and children’s choices broaden the offering across the day, and dietary filters help guests review suitable vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Cocktails and wine are central to the bar, supported by beer, alcohol free choices, coffee and fresh juices. Weekend brunches, group menus and private rooms make The Fable particularly useful for celebrations and work gatherings, while the main restaurant also accommodates a more straightforward meal in central London.
