Wingmans is a chicken restaurant at 29–31 Old Compton Street in Soho. Its lively, informal dining room is built around bold sauces, crisp fried chicken and generous comfort food, making it well suited to a casual meal with friends in the middle of the West End.
Wings are the central attraction, with flavours that range from the classic Buffalo inspired Original Hot to barbecue, Thai and truffle accented combinations. The menu encourages diners to choose several styles and add ranch, blue cheese, chilli lime mayonnaise or another dip on the side.
Chicken also appears in burgers, including a classic version with American cheese and pickles and a Thai inspired burger with hot sauce and Asian slaw. Vegetarian options such as a shiitake based burger sit beside substantial sides including truffle macaroni cheese, seasoned corn and honey mustard slaw.
Fries can be kept simple with rosemary salt or dressed with garlic butter, cheese, hot sauce and other seasonings. Those shareable extras reinforce the restaurant’s social style, where a table can combine wings, burgers and loaded sides rather than treating every order as an isolated main course.
