Kotch! is an independent Italian restaurant at 55 Leytonstone Road, between Maryland and Stratford. Its name comes from London slang for hanging out, and the room combines that informal social idea with the food and drink traditions brought by its Italian team.
Stone baked pizza is the centre of the menu, made with carefully selected flour, tomato and cheeses and cooked in a style influenced by southern Italy. Classic toppings sit beside more individual combinations, with vegetarian and vegan alternatives available.
The kitchen also explores pizza in fried and folded forms, alongside pasta, bruschetta, parmigiana, meatballs and other Italian starters and sides. Desserts include a stone baked doughnut filled with Nutella and pistachio, continuing the playful approach without leaving the restaurant’s Italian foundation.
Wine and other drinks support a relaxed dinner rather than a quick takeaway only service, and the limited number of tables makes booking worthwhile. Collection and delivery remain available, but the music, atmosphere and full table service are an important part of the intended Kotch! experience.
