Hawksmoor – Air Street Menu

Hawksmoor Air Street occupies a sweeping Art Deco space above Regent Street, close to Piccadilly Circus and the heart of the West End. High ceilings give the restaurant an impressive sense of scale, while ten specially commissioned stained glass windows fill the room with light and frame views of the streets below. Curved details, dark timber and comfortable seating create the atmosphere of a grand city dining room without making it feel overly formal. The combination of architectural drama and lively hospitality makes the venue equally appealing for lunch, dinner and celebratory gatherings.

This branch gives steak and seafood equal importance, distinguishing it within the wider Hawksmoor family. Beef comes from grass fed native breed cattle and is selected for depth of flavour before being cooked over live charcoal. The seafood side of the restaurant was developed with chef Mitch Tonks when Air Street opened in 2012, building a close connection to sustainably sourced catches from British waters. Fresh fish and shellfish from suppliers including Brixham market allow the kitchen to apply the same ingredient focused approach to the coast as it does to its steaks.

Guests can shape a meal around individual cuts, generous sharing steaks, seafood and a broad selection of sides and sauces. Charcoal cooking brings a savoury crust and smoky character to the beef, while careful handling keeps seafood clean and expressive. The restaurant is also known for its Sunday roast, with slow cooked rump, roast potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and rich gravy creating a substantial version of the British classic. Vegetarian choices and seasonal produce ensure that the experience is not limited to meat and fish alone.

The bar is an important part of Hawksmoor Air Street, offering cocktails, wine and other drinks before, during or after dinner. Classic recipes sit alongside house creations that favour bold but balanced flavours, complementing the richness of the food. The restaurant’s location makes it convenient for Soho, Mayfair, Regent Street and nearby theatres, while Piccadilly Circus station is only a short walk away. Hawksmoor Air Street combines serious sourcing and confident cooking with an energetic, welcoming style that keeps the impressive room relaxed and accessible.
