Deacon Brodie’s Tavern is a historic pub at 435 Lawnmarket on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. Its name recalls William Brodie, the respectable tradesman and councillor whose criminal double life helped inspire the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
