Ardfern Menu

Ardfern is an all day café, bar and bottle shop at 10-12 Bonnington Road in Leith. Open from morning until late, it is the third venue from chef Roberta Hall McCarron and the team behind The Little Chartroom and Eleanore, bringing their seasonal approach into a relaxed neighbourhood format.

Brunch moves between familiar breakfast comforts and more inventive small plates. Current examples include filled brioche buns, a full breakfast, oysters with nori hot sauce, prawn tacos, aubergine fritters and a double smash burger, with a separate vegetarian breakfast and other meat free choices.

An evening menu takes over later in the day, while bar snacks remain available across a broad stretch of service. Sundays add roast beef or a vegetable roast with Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, carrots, greens and gravy, offering a more traditional centrepiece to the weekend menu.

The bottle shop carries more than 100 wines that can be bought to take home or enjoyed at the venue. Cocktails and an oyster happy hour support the bar side of the business, and the mix of bookable tables, walk in spaces and dog friendly service gives Ardfern an easygoing local character.
