Bo Tree Kitchen is a Thai restaurant at 65–67 University Avenue in Belfast, a short walk from Queen’s University and Botanic station. It continues the story of Chiang Mai Kitchen in Oxford and the earlier Bo Tree on University Road, bringing that same focus on authentic Thai food to a relaxed neighbourhood dining room.
The menu explores the balance of sweetness, sourness, salt, heat and fragrance that gives Thai cooking its distinctive character. Curries, stir fries, noodle dishes and carefully seasoned starters are prepared with an emphasis on traditional flavours rather than adapting everything to a single level of spice.
Vegetable, meat and seafood choices make the selection useful for mixed groups, while rice and noodles provide the natural foundations for a shared meal. Diners can eat in or order takeaway, and booking ahead is sensible because the compact restaurant remains a popular local destination.
Bo Tree Kitchen operates as an unlicensed BYO cafe, so guests may bring their own alcohol to accompany dinner. Its informal service, experienced kitchen and close connection to the surrounding university neighbourhood make it equally comfortable for an everyday meal or a leisurely evening with friends.
