Conuco – Venezuelan Kitchen is a family run restaurant at 14 Brixton Road, a short walk from Oval station. The compact dining room focuses on traditional Venezuelan comfort food, with recipes and hospitality shaped by the family behind the business.

Arepas come with fillings such as pabellón criollo, shredded chicken, cheese, black beans and plantain. Empanadas offer beef, chicken, cheese and vegetarian combinations, while tequeños and yuca chips make natural starters for the table to share.

Cachapas provide a sweeter corn based alternative to the arepas and can be paired with cheese, vegetables or the components of pabellón. The national dish is also served as a complete plate, with vegetarian and vegan versions available alongside the traditional preparation.

Tres leches and quesillo provide two characteristically Latin American ways to finish, joined by drinks such as papelón con limón and chicha. Cocktails and bottled beers extend the choice, making Conuco as suitable for a leisurely meal as for a quick arepa at lunchtime.
