Le Monde Edinburgh is the bar and restaurant at 16 George Street in the New Town. Part of a boutique hotel built around the glamour of international cities, it combines a striking bar, dining spaces and an outdoor terrace in a central setting.
The menu takes a global approach, using distinctive flavours and spices across small plates and larger dishes. This makes the restaurant well suited to sharing, while breakfast and food served later in the day allow guests to use the space from morning into the evening.
Afternoon tea offers a separate experience with savoury bites, mini cakes, sweet treats and homemade scones served with tea or locally roasted coffee. Prosecco or Champagne can be added, creating a more celebratory alternative to a standard lunch.
A curated cocktail list and Champagne selection are central to the bar, supported by wine, beer and hot drinks. Guests with allergies should request the current information from staff because globally inspired sauces and changing dishes may contain several common allergens.
