ROW on 5 is Jason Atherton’s flagship restaurant at 5 Savile Row, where the name stands for Refinement of Work. The luxurious Mayfair setting mirrors the street’s tailoring heritage, framing an ambitious tasting experience built around British ingredients and meticulous service.
Executive chef Spencer Metzger leads a kitchen that starts with produce from Britain’s fields, farms and shores. Japanese clarity, Mediterranean lightness and Asian aromatics are used to reveal different aspects of those ingredients, while the cooking remains British at its core.
The principal tasting menu unfolds over 15 courses and three acts, moving guests through distinct spaces as the meal develops. Seasonal seafood, meat, vegetables and carefully constructed desserts appear in a sequence that changes with ingredient quality and availability rather than remaining fixed throughout the year.
A shorter lunch experience is offered on Fridays and Saturdays, and vegetarian menus provide a separate route through the kitchen’s ideas. The substantial wine list and precise front of house team complete a restaurant designed for unhurried special occasions and diners interested in the craft behind every course.
