Sandwich Express Menu

Sandwich Express is an independent sandwich shop and cafe at 25 Whitcomb Street in London's West End. Established in 1991, it opens early on weekdays and prepares its fillings in the shop each day for breakfast, lunch and takeaway orders.

Made to order sandwiches, baguettes, bagels and tortilla wraps form the core of the menu. Hot salt beef served with English mustard and gherkins is a house speciality, while a broad choice of fillings lets customers create a simple or more substantial lunch.

Fresh soup, pasta, jacket potatoes and a self service salad bar extend the range beyond sandwiches. Seasonal produce is used across the salads, and falafel provides a vegan wrap option for customers seeking a plant based meal.

Barista coffee and other hot drinks are joined by pastel de nata, brownies and cakes made in house, including lemon and rosemary and banana varieties. Office delivery, sandwich platters and buffet catering give the business a useful role for meetings and larger local orders as well as individual visits.
