Sushi Cafe is a Japanese restaurant at 555 Battersea Park Road. Its informal, upbeat dining room serves lunch and dinner, with both an à la carte menu and a timed buffet giving diners two different ways to explore the kitchen.

Fresh sushi and sashimi are the central attraction, ranging across nigiri, maki, temaki and chef selected combinations. The team can also create sushi from a guest’s preferred ingredients and style, subject to what is available that day.

Izakaya inspired hot dishes add tempura, teriyaki and other small plates that can be ordered individually or shared as a set. The buffet covers more than one hundred freshly prepared choices and includes familiar dishes such as chicken teriyaki, salmon nigiri, salmon and avocado rolls and tempura within a ninety minute sitting.

Sake, wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks accompany the food, and takeaway is available as an alternative to dining in. Raw fish, shellfish, sesame, soya and shared kitchen equipment all require care, so diners with allergies should inform staff before ordering and follow the restaurant’s current advice.
