Niche Gluten Free Dining is an independent restaurant at 197–199 Rosebery Avenue in Clerkenwell. Open since 2013, it became the first restaurant in the United Kingdom with Coeliac UK accreditation for an entirely gluten free menu, offering guests both creative modern cooking and confidence in the kitchen’s careful controls.
The whole menu is also free from sesame, peanuts, tree nuts and oats. Marinated olives, garlic and rosemary focaccia, baked Camembert and charcuterie encourage sharing, while pea and mint soup, smoked salmon, cheese doughnuts and the signature Niche fried chicken provide varied ways to begin.
Seasonally inspired main courses move between familiar comfort food and lighter contemporary dishes. Niche quiche, mushroom bourguignon pie, sea bream, baked salmon, gnocchi, steak and a generous beef burger show that the restaurant treats dietary safety as the foundation for a broad menu rather than a limitation on flavour.
New York cheesecake, affogato, sorbet and ice cream offer several ways to finish, supported by wine, cocktails and naturally gluten free beer. Vegan, dairy free and low FODMAP choices are clearly represented, allowing friends and families with different dietary needs to relax and enjoy the same meal together.
