Greenwich Grind is an all day restaurant, coffee house and cocktail bar on Nelson Road, a short walk from Greenwich Market and the Cutty Sark. The venue combines a bright conservatory, a hidden garden and a separate counter for coffee to take away. Its changing daily rhythm supports an early espresso, a leisurely brunch, dinner later in the week or cocktails after exploring the neighbourhood.
Breakfast and brunch include a full Grind breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, hash browns, beans and sourdough, alongside a substantial vegetarian version. Thick French toast, buttermilk pancakes with fruit and maple syrup, Turkish eggs, mushroom hash and avocado on toast offer different levels of richness. Crumpets can be paired with ham and poached eggs or smoked salmon and herb cream cheese.
Later choices include battered haddock with fries and crushed peas, flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce and a cheeseburger with pickles and shallots. Buttermilk chicken and vegan burgers broaden the selection, while a prawn katsu sandwich brings a seafood variation. Salads based on seasonal vegetables, labneh or chicken Caesar provide lighter mains without reducing the variety of flavour and texture.
Desserts, juices and cocktails extend the menu beyond the main meal, with bottomless brunch available at selected times. Coffee remains central throughout the day, using Grind’s own roasted blend for espresso, flat white and other familiar drinks. The combination of a restaurant, garden, bar and quick service counter allows Greenwich Grind to suit both short visits and larger social gatherings.
