KEONBAE Royal Wharf is a Korean barbecue restaurant at 20 Royal Crest Avenue. Its name is a Korean toast meaning cheers, capturing a social format in which friends and families gather around the grill and cook selected ingredients together.
The barbecue range includes bulgogi, short ribs, pork belly, chicken, ox tongue and seafood. Different marinades bring sweet soy, savoury and spicy flavours, while the cooking process lets each table control pace and enjoy the meat as soon as it leaves the heat.
Korean fried chicken, pancakes, soups, bento boxes, rice and noodle dishes broaden the meal beyond the grill. Vegetable sides and traditional accompaniments add freshness and fermentation, helping balance the richer meat and crisp fried preparations.
Beer is a natural partner for the smoky, spicy cooking, with other drinks available for a longer meal. KEONBAE is best for groups who enjoy interactive dining and want to explore several Korean dishes rather than ordering a single individual main.
