64 Goodge Street is a Fitzrovia restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, the team behind Portland and Clipstone. Head chef Stuart Andrew describes the cooking as French food seen from an outsider’s perspective, combining respect for classical cuisine with a willingness to interpret it through a modern London lens. The dining room was designed as a comfortable retreat where polished service and a strong sense of care support the food without overwhelming it.

The menu takes inspiration from the established dishes and techniques of France, particularly the rich but delicate sauces that give the cuisine much of its character. An à la carte selection is written each day, allowing the kitchen to respond to seasonal produce while preserving a recognisable structure of snacks, starters, main courses and desserts. The cooking aims for depth and refinement, with familiar French ideas handled in a fresh and occasionally unexpected way.

Wine is an important part of the experience, with a diverse list that places particular emphasis on Burgundy. The selection includes rising producers as well as older vintages, and a number of wines are available by the glass so guests can explore different styles alongside the meal. A private room downstairs extends the restaurant’s approach to secluded groups of up to twelve, with dedicated service and choices from a specially structured version of the daily menu.

The restaurant currently opens from Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, making it suitable for anything from a considered midday meal to a longer evening occasion. Its location near Goodge Street places it within easy reach of Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury and the West End. Since the kitchen rewrites its selection regularly, the full menu below is the best place to see the latest dishes and prices.
