Café Murano Covent Garden is Angela Hartnett’s relaxed Italian restaurant on Tavistock Street. Leather banquettes and a long marble dining bar create a warm and intimate room suited to lunch, dinner and a meal before or after a nearby theatre performance.
The kitchen begins with good ingredients and lets the seasons guide its Italian cooking. Antipasti based on vegetables, seafood, cured meat and cheese lead into handmade pasta, risotto, fish and meat prepared with clear flavours and confident simplicity.
Menus change through the year, moving between dishes such as crudo, bruschetta, gnocchi, cavatelli, sardines and produce led salads. Set menus provide a concise choice at lunch and around theatre times, while desserts, cheese and affogato complete the meal.
