Franco Manca Balham is a cosy and compact neighbourhood pizzeria on Bedford Hill, close to Balham station and the surrounding shops. Its informal dining room has a distinctly local feel, making it convenient for a quick lunch, dinner with friends or a relaxed family meal.
Each pizza begins with naturally fermented sourdough that is allowed to rise slowly before baking at high heat. The result is a light base with a soft centre, a gently crisp edge and the characteristic flavour that has shaped Franco Manca since its first pizzeria opened in Brixton.
Italian tomato, mozzarella, cured meat, seasonal vegetables, herbs and cheeses appear in both classic combinations and changing specials.
