Ishtar is a contemporary Anatolian and Mediterranean restaurant at 10–12 Crawford Street in Marylebone. Established in 2004, it combines a polished dining room with indoor and outdoor seating, presenting regional flavours in a setting suited to lunch, dinner and special occasions.
Mediterranean and Turkish mezze provide a natural way to begin, with fresh salads, vegetable dishes, pastries, cheese and carefully seasoned small plates designed for sharing. Seasonal ingredients and herbs sourced for their distinctive character help the kitchen maintain freshness and clarity across the selection.
Chargrilled meat is a speciality, with chicken, lamb kofta and other cuts gaining smoke and colour over the grill. Seafood and fish offer lighter alternatives, while dishes such as braised lamb with fruit and couscous show the sweet, savoury and aromatic combinations found across Anatolian cooking.
Pistachio cake, künefe and baklava continue the regional focus through dessert. Turkish and international wine, cocktails and other drinks complete the meal, while a lounge with music and several private spaces allow Ishtar to host celebrations, screenings and larger gatherings as well as everyday dining.
