Apadana Persian Restaurant is a family run dining room at 351 Kensington High Street. Established in 1967, it presents the food and hospitality of Iran through traditional recipes, a warm setting and service that runs from lunch into the evening every day.
Kebabs are a central part of the menu, with seasoned lamb or marinated chicken cooked over the grill and served with saffron rice and tomato. Mixed grills let a group compare several preparations, while seafood offers a different route through the main courses.
Slow cooked Persian stews develop flavour from ingredients such as herbs, dried lime, beans, aubergine, walnuts and pomegranate. Ghormeh sabzi, fesenjan and gheymeh each balance richness, acidity and aroma differently, making them rewarding alternatives to the grilled dishes.
