Blacklock Canary Wharf is a modern British chop house at 5 Frobisher Passage on the North Dock. Set in a former warehouse beneath the railway tracks, the restaurant combines the warmth of a traditional chop house with the energy of Canary Wharf. British meat, open coal cooking and generous dishes designed for sharing define the experience at lunch, dinner and Sunday service.
Small bites and starters include potted meats with kimchi, egg with anchovy, mushrooms on toast, pig’s head on toast and crayfish cocktail. The main grill offers pork loin, pork rib, lamb cutlet and lamb T bone chops alongside dry aged beef cuts such as Denver, bavette, rump cap, sirloin and fillet. Larger prime rib, porterhouse and bone in sirloin cuts are suited to two people sharing.
The All In combines pre chop bites with beef, pork and lamb chops piled over grilled flatbread, giving a group a broad introduction to the menu. Beef dripping chips, ash roasted sweet potato, seasonal slaw, salads and bread with gravy support the meat, while sauces include béarnaise, green sauce, chilli hollandaise and Blacklock gravy. A barbecued cauliflower chop provides a substantial vegetable led main.
On Sundays, the regular grill menu gives way to whole joints roasted over coal and English oak. Beef rump, lamb leg and pork loin arrive with Yorkshire pudding, duck fat roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and plentiful gravy, with a mixed roast available for sharing. Cocktails, beer and wine on tap accompany the food, while the white chocolate cheesecake served at the table is a signature finish.
