Corrochio's Cantina is a Mexican dining and drinking space at 76 Stoke Newington Road in Dalston. It forms part of Corrochio’s restaurant and bar venue, combining an informal late night atmosphere with a focused menu of regional Mexican street food.
Tacos and gringas bring fillings such as carnitas, cactus, birria, grilled seafood and al pastor to corn or flour tortillas. Beef and banana blossom versions of birria are served with consommé, allowing both meat eaters and plant based diners to experience the same crisp, richly seasoned format.
Larger tortas layer pork, beef, prawns, chorizo or portobello mushrooms with cheese, beans, avocado, chilli mayonnaise and pickled vegetables. Tostadas and shareable snacks provide lighter options, while roasted pineapple, fresh salsa and grilled onions add acidity and sweetness.
Tequila and mezcal lead the drinks list, joined by margaritas, palomas, Mexican beer and alcohol free choices. The Cantina suits a relaxed dinner that can continue into drinks, music and a later night without leaving the building.
