Mario’s Cafe is a family run neighbourhood cafe at 6 Kelly Street in Kentish Town. Established in 1989, it has the enduring, personal character of a traditional local cafe, with a colourful room and welcoming service that encourage regular visits.
Breakfast is an important part of the day, covering cooked plates, eggs, toast and other familiar cafe choices. The food reflects both English cafe culture and the owner’s Italian background, resulting in straightforward cooking with warmth and personality.
Lunch brings sandwiches, pasta and changing daily dishes suited to a quick midday meal. Coffee remains central throughout service, and cakes or smaller bites make the cafe just as useful for a short stop as for a complete breakfast or lunch.
The modest scale creates an atmosphere that larger restaurants rarely reproduce. Mario’s is especially appealing to diners who value continuity, conversation and honest food, with more than three decades in Kentish Town reinforcing its place in the neighbourhood.
