Pulse Bar is a casual restaurant, cocktail bar and social games venue at 18 New Globe Walk in Bankside. Located close to Shakespeare’s Globe and the Thames, it combines lunch, dinner and drinks with augmented reality darts and beer pong. The energetic setting is designed for groups, although the daytime menu also works for a quick meal before a performance or walk along the river.
Bites include chicken pieces with coriander slaw and lime mayonnaise, grilled king prawns with paprika and garlic, tempura mushrooms with miso dip and cheese bombs with jalapeño relish. Pulse fries add cheese, crisp bacon, shallots and curry mayonnaise. Plant based bites and grilled broccoli provide meat free options with the same bold sauces and textures.
The Classic burger combines two beef patties with cheese, burnt onions and Pulse sauce, while the house version adds braised short rib, a cheese bomb and jalapeño relish. Breaded chicken and plant based burgers complete the selection. Tacos come with short rib, chicken, grilled prawns or mushrooms, and salads use combinations such as barley with squash or rice noodles with vegetables and cashews.
Large platters collect wings, bites, prawns, tacos and fries for groups, with a dedicated vegetarian combination also available. Chocolate filled dumplings, mango pudding and ice cream provide playful finishes. Cocktails, wine, beer, shots and alcohol free drinks support everything from lunch to a longer evening of games, sport and conversation.
