The Old Frizzle is a lively pub and terrace on The Broadway in Wimbledon, close to the station. Live sport, music and a regular quiz give it an energetic social calendar, while quieter corners and bookable tables also support a more relaxed meal.
Pub classics include hand battered fish and chips, bavette steak, pie of the day and sausage with mash and gravy. Fried chicken, beef brisket chilli nachos and loaded fries add a more playful side, and grilled chicken or halloumi skewers offer a lighter direction.
Vegetarian and vegan diners can choose three bean chilli nachos, hummus, corn ribs and a vegan burger, among other dishes. Small plates such as crispy squid, pork belly bites and mac and cheese make it easy to order food for sharing alongside drinks.
Sunday roasts cover chicken, Hereford beef, pork belly and vegetable Wellington, all served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and gravy. Cocktails, beer and wine complete the pub experience, with sticky toffee pudding or sharing churros available afterwards.
