Parsons is a small fish restaurant at 39 Endell Street in Covent Garden, opened in December 2017 by the team behind The 10 Cases across the road. The unassuming dining room was conceived as a contemporary version of a classic British fish restaurant, equally comfortable for a quick plate or a full meal.
Freshly landed fish and shellfish lead a compact, seasonal menu, with ingredients handled simply enough for their character to remain clear. Oysters, prawns, clams, smoked fish and crudo can sit alongside battered preparations and whole fish intended for sharing.
The exact catch changes, but representative dishes range from whole lemon sole and sea bass to turbot, plaice and mussels. Straightforward vegetable sides, chips and carefully chosen desserts support the seafood without turning the menu into an oversized catalogue.
Wine is central to the experience, with bottles and glasses selected to work across delicate raw seafood, richer sauces and roasted fish. Guests can also stop for oysters and a single drink, while anyone with allergies should tell the team promptly because raw seafood and other common allergens feature throughout the menu.
