Barry Fish is an independent seafood restaurant at 62 Shore in Leith. Opened in 2025 by chef Barry Bryson, it pairs a largely fish focused menu with a warm, informal dining room where the ingredients receive more ceremony than the service style.
Scottish fish and shellfish are sourced directly where possible, supported by seasonal produce from farmers, growers and other producers around the United Kingdom. The menu changes regularly, allowing the kitchen to respond to the catch and the quality available that month.
Earlier sittings offer a shorter first wave selection, while the evening develops into a two, three or four course à la carte experience. Preparations can move from oysters, ceviche and sea trout pastrami to whole fish, hake, lobster or house fishcakes, with a small number of meat and vegetarian alternatives.
Puddings, carefully selected wines, cocktails, craft beer and soft drinks complete the meal. The balance of direct sourcing, skilful cooking and an easygoing atmosphere makes Barry Fish equally suited to curious local diners and visitors exploring Leith's waterfront restaurants.
