3KOBROS Korean Restaurant is an independent Korean dining room at 240 Westferry Road on the Isle of Dogs, close to Canary Wharf. Korean chefs prepare a broad menu for dining in, takeaway and delivery, using familiar marinades, fermented vegetables and warming stews. The range makes the restaurant suitable for a quick rice bowl as well as a shared meal built around grills, pancakes and hot pots.
Korean fried chicken comes plain or coated in sweet chilli or soy garlic sauce, with a half and half choice for comparing two flavours. Traditional starters include seafood pajeon, kimchi pancakes, japchae glass noodles and tteokbokki rice cakes. Kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, pickled radish and crisp seaweed add the bright, savoury and fermented side dishes associated with Korean dining.
Bibimbap combines rice, sauteed vegetables and egg with choices such as beef bulgogi, spicy pork, teriyaki chicken, tofu or extra vegetables. Main dishes continue with grilled pork belly, soy marinated beef ribs, spicy chicken and calamari. Noodle choices include cold buckwheat noodles, black soybean noodles and stir fried noodles with beef, chicken, seafood or vegetables.
Stews offer a particularly comforting route through the menu. Kimchi jjigae, soft tofu soup, beef rib soup and gamja tang are served with rice, while larger tabletop hot pots encourage sharing. Korean bento boxes gather a chosen main with rice, salads and vegetable dumplings, giving diners a convenient way to sample several elements of the kitchen in one complete meal.
