Masala Zone Piccadilly Circus is a grand Indian brasserie at 224 Piccadilly, occupying the ornate Criterion Restaurant building created in 1873. Mosaics, dramatic lamps, paintings and Indian artefacts give the room a strong visual identity opposite the Eros fountain at the centre of Piccadilly Circus.

Street food draws on traditions from across India, with pani puri, chaat, pakoras, samosas and crisp vegetable snacks providing contrasting combinations of spice, yoghurt, tamarind and fresh herbs. Sharing selections allow a table to compare several regional bites before choosing a larger dish.

Thalis bring a chosen curry together with vegetables, dal, rice or chapattis, papad and chutney on one balanced platter. Slow cooked lamb rogan josh, paneer curry, coastal seafood, grilled chicken and vegetable preparations sit beside biryanis scented with saffron, cardamom and other aromatic spices.

Weekend brunch, afternoon tea and dedicated group menus give the restaurant a broad rhythm beyond lunch and dinner. Cocktails, Indian beer, wine, lassi and tea complete the selection, while a halal kitchen and numerous vegetarian choices make the Piccadilly menu accessible to varied groups.

Address: 224 Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, London W1J 9HP, United Kingdom
