cépage[s] is an intimate French bistro at 69 Westbourne Park Road, between Westbourne Park and Notting Hill. Originally opened in 2014, the neighbourhood restaurant entered a new chapter in 2026 after a complete refurbishment under chef and owner Gaston Savina.
The cooking is rooted in French tradition but approaches familiar ideas with curiosity and a playful modern edge. Menus change with the seasons and the availability of produce, with rich sauces, careful technique and dishes designed to encourage sharing around the table.
Small plates move through charcuterie, vegetables and seafood before more substantial signatures and dishes for two or more. Snails, boudin noir, pollock, pork belly, roast chicken and slow cooked ox cheek illustrate the range, while French cheese and house desserts complete the meal.
Wine is treated as an equal part of the experience, with a fully French list shaped by relationships with independent merchants and winemakers. Warm service and a compact room make cépage[s] particularly well suited to a leisurely dinner, a Saturday lunch or an evening built around several bottles and shared plates.
