La Palombe is a neighbourhood bistro at 267 Kensington High Street from restaurateur James Chiavarini and chef patron Jake Leach. The restaurant combines ambitious cooking with the warmth of a family-run brasserie and is included in the Michelin Guide 2026.
A large wood-burning grill is central to the kitchen, bringing smoke and live-fire character to much of the menu. The cooking is classical French at heart, while seasonal game, mushrooms, truffles and other wild ingredients give individual dishes a strong sense of place.
Some produce comes from the restaurant’s own smallholding in Kent, supplemented by trusted farms, foragers and specialist suppliers. The menu changes with the seasons, and dishes may include venison, confit duck or vegetables prepared over embers.
Independent low-intervention, natural and biodynamic wines are selected to accompany the food, while the relaxed service suits both weekday meals and special occasions. Because ingredients change frequently, diners with allergies should discuss the current menu directly with the team.
