Oren is a small neighbourhood restaurant and bar at 89 Shacklewell Lane in Dalston. Opened in 2019, it offers an intimate dining room where Eastern Mediterranean cooking, charcoal and a carefully chosen wine list shape the whole experience.
Sharing plates form the core of the evening menu, allowing the table to move through vegetables, seafood and meat in a natural sequence. Cooking over charcoal adds smoke and direct heat while preserving the freshness and bright seasoning associated with the region.
Weekend brunch gives the restaurant a different daytime character, with the same attention to bold flavours and seasonal ingredients. The compact scale keeps service personal, and bookings are deliberately limited to smaller groups during normal service.
