The Rose is an independent public house at 123 Snowsfields, between London Bridge and Bermondsey. It combines the easygoing feel of a neighbourhood pub with a distinctive food identity and welcomes families, children and dogs as well as the area’s after work crowd.
The kitchen is best known as the home of the Bermondsey Parmo, its local take on the Teesside comfort food of breaded chicken topped with béchamel and cheese. The wider menu provides substantial pub dishes and vegan friendly choices rather than treating food as an afterthought to the bar.
Craft beer is a central part of the drinks selection, joined by cocktails, wine, spirits and alcohol free options. Sunday roasts return seasonally, giving the weekend menu a traditional counterpoint to the pub’s more individual signature dishes.
The atmosphere is informal enough for a quick drink but the kitchen and seating also support a full meal. A private room adds flexibility for celebrations and group events, while the independent ownership and focused food and drink offering give The Rose its own identity within the busy London Bridge area.
