Mother Mash Carnaby brings the spirit of a traditional London pie and mash shop to Ganton Street in a bright modern dining room. White tiles, marble topped tables and outdoor seating frame a simple approach to British comfort food that works well for lunch, dinner and a warming meal while exploring the West End.
Every main meal starts with mash made freshly from British Maris Piper potatoes. Guests choose their preferred style of mash, add a free range sausage or a generously filled pie, then finish the plate with a gravy selected to suit the filling and their own taste.
The selection covers rich meat pies, several sausage recipes and satisfying vegetarian or vegan alternatives. Traditional gravy, onion gravy and other changing sauces create different combinations, while sides and salads allow diners to add freshness or another layer of familiar comfort.
British puddings and sweet pies continue the homely theme, supported by beer, cider, wine and soft drinks. Table bookings, collection and delivery make the Carnaby restaurant flexible, and its location close to Regent Street and Soho is convenient before shopping, theatre or an evening out.
