The Lobby Bar at One Aldwych sits at the heart of the One Aldwych hotel lobby at 1 Aldwych in Covent Garden. Soaring ceilings, Art Nouveau curves and an important contemporary art collection create an elegant but animated setting for morning coffee, a working lunch or drinks around a West End performance.
Daytime food includes polished versions of familiar favourites such as a club sandwich, a beef burger and day boat fish in beer batter. A poke bowl and toasted walnut bread with smoked aubergine provide lighter choices, allowing the bar to work as a genuine lunch destination rather than only a place for drinks.
In the evening the emphasis moves towards sharing, with British charcuterie and cheese, mini burgers with truffle mayonnaise, crab cakes and lobster brioche.
