Eat Tokyo Soho is the Old Compton Street branch of a Japanese owned restaurant group with locations in London, Tokyo and Düsseldorf. The group was established around forty years ago and concentrates on familiar Japanese dishes at accessible prices.
Sushi and sashimi form an important part of the selection, supported by nigiri and chirashi presentations that combine prepared seafood with seasoned rice. Unagi provides another traditional choice for diners who prefer cooked freshwater eel.
Bento boxes bring rice, fish or meat and cooked or pickled vegetables together in one complete meal. The structured format makes bento practical for a quick lunch while still giving diners a varied combination of flavours and textures.
The Soho branch serves lunch and dinner throughout the week, with later service on Friday and Saturday. Reservations and telephone orders are available, while sake and other traditional Japanese drinks complement the food.
