Estrela Bar is a family run Portuguese restaurant, cafe and tapas bar at 111–115 South Lambeth Road. Built over more than twenty years from a small coffee stop into a full restaurant, it retains a warm and informal atmosphere rooted in family recipes and Portuguese hospitality.

Tapas include garlic prawns, grilled sardines, salt cod cakes, meat rissoles, clams and chouriço cooked in red wine. Olives, sardine pâté, tortilla and bread provide simple additions, making it easy to cover a table with contrasting seafood, meat and vegetable plates for sharing.

Larger dishes range from grilled sea bass and traditional salt cod to pork with clams, bitoque steak and mixed meat skewers. Potatoes, rice, salad and vegetables accompany the mains, reflecting the generous and direct style of everyday Portuguese restaurant cooking.

Coffee and pastel de nata make Estrela useful from the morning, while vinho verde, Portuguese beer and regional wines carry the restaurant into lunch and dinner. Outdoor tables are popular in warm weather, and the bar and dining room can also accommodate relaxed celebrations and private gatherings.
