Honest Burgers Bank sits at 4 Change Alley, tucked just off Lombard Street near Bank station. The City location serves lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, combining a casual bar centred interior with outdoor tables that offer a useful pause from the surrounding financial district.
Fresh British beef is chopped rather than conventionally minced for the house burgers, giving the patties a tender texture with more resemblance to steak. Every burger includes a side of handmade rosemary salted chips, which keeps the main meal simple even as toppings and patty choices vary.
The Bank local burger layers rib meat, Red Leicester, bacon gravy, shoestring fries, white onion and pickles, with beef, fried chicken and double smashed formats available. Other beef, chicken, vegetarian and plant based choices extend the menu, while wings provide a smaller bar snack or sharing plate.
Beer and other drinks make the branch well suited to after work gatherings as well as weekday lunches. Walk-ins are welcomed, larger groups can book, and collection or delivery provides flexibility for nearby offices when there is no time to sit at a table.
