Sentosa is a Singaporean and Malaysian restaurant at 208 Bermondsey Street in London. Founder Ivan Lee drew on his childhood in Malaysia and the years he spent on Singapore’s Sentosa island when opening the restaurant in 2023, creating a warm setting for the food of the Malay Peninsula.
The kitchen team brings experience from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and the restaurant imports selected ingredients and herbs directly from Singapore. Chilli, coconut and lemongrass help define the cooking, which aims to preserve the balance of sweetness, spice, fragrance and savoury depth found across the region.
Singapore chilli crab is a signature style of dish, served with steamed buns that can be used to gather the rich sauce. Malaysia Boleh nasi lemak provides another representative combination, pairing coconut rice with chilli squid and the contrasting accompaniments that make the dish a complete meal.
Separate food, drinks and weekday lunch menus make Sentosa suitable for a quick midday visit or a longer dinner. Because shellfish, nuts and other allergens are common in Singaporean and Malaysian cooking, guests with allergies or dietary requirements should discuss the current dishes and preparation with staff before ordering.
