Tamarind Kitchen is a contemporary Indian restaurant at 167–169 Wardour Street in Soho. Created by the team behind Tamarind of Mayfair, it brings the group’s refined approach into a convivial setting designed for social dining near Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and the theatres of the West End.
The menu moves through regional Indian flavours with a modern sense of balance and presentation. Awadhi kebabs, street food inspired starters and dishes from the tandoor bring together meat, fish, seafood and vegetables, using marinades, charcoal heat, chutneys and carefully layered spices.
Curries draw from both northern and southern traditions, ranging from butter chicken and slow cooked lamb to prawns with coconut and tamarind. Dal, spinach, potatoes, rice and naan complete the table, while tasting, weekend lunch and theatre menus offer structured ways to explore several dishes.
Wine and Indian inspired cocktails are selected to complement the spices, with desserts and gelato providing a lighter or richer finish. A private dining room seats intimate groups, while the basement floor and bar can support larger occasions, giving Tamarind Kitchen flexibility beyond everyday Soho dining.
