Tom Cribb is a compact, characterful pub at 36 Panton Street in London’s West End. Directly opposite the Harold Pinter Theatre and close to Piccadilly Circus, it is well placed for a pre theatre meal, a drink after a performance or a break from sightseeing.
The pub is named for British bare knuckle champion Tom Cribb, who later became a publican. Boxing photographs and memorabilia continue that story inside, while plaques also commemorate Cribb and Bill Richmond, another important figure in British boxing history.
Classic pub dishes form the food menu, with shortcrust pies served with creamed mash and traditional Cockney liquor among the main attractions. Burgers, fish and chips, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs and other smaller plates provide choices for different appetites.
Shepherd Neame beer is central to the bar, supported by wine, cocktails and other drinks. Food is available in the ground floor bar and the upstairs room, which can also host functions.
