Salloos is a family owned Pakistani restaurant at 62-64 Kinnerton Street in Belgravia. The business began in Lahore in 1966 and has served London since 1976, combining a long culinary history with an elegant, comfortable dining room close to Knightsbridge.

The kitchen specialises in halal Mughalai cooking, drawing on the spices of the Indian subcontinent and Persian and Arabian influences. Saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and chilli are used in different combinations to give each dish a distinct depth rather than a uniform level of heat.

Charcoal tandoor cooking is central to the menu, with marinated lamb chops and chicken shish among the signatures. Chicken karahi arrives with tomato, ginger, coriander and green chilli, while the slow roasted whole leg of lamb known as raan masala can be ordered in advance for a larger table.

Okra, lentils, aubergine, chickpeas and vegetable kebabs give vegetarian diners a varied selection. Traditional desserts include carrot halwa and kulfi, and the restaurant also accommodates private parties and corporate events for guests who want the full Salloos experience in a dedicated setting.

Address: 62-64 Kinnerton Street, Belgravia, London SW1X 8ER, England
